The Diablo 2 Resurrected community is concerned that the game will not be ready for ladders mode when it goes live as a result of the ongoing issues with the game.
Fans are concerned that if the first season of Diablo 2 Resurrected's ladders mode is released too soon, it will be ruined by the game's post-launch issues. A release date for the ladders mode has not been announced as of yet. While Blizzard has addressed many of the issues with Diablo 2 Resurrected, the game continues to employ a queue system in order to prevent the servers from becoming overburdened with players.
Matchmaking issues continue to plague the game, with some players spending hours exploring Sanctuary without encountering another player in a public game. Fans are concerned that if the ladders mode in Diablo 2 Resurrected is released while these issues are still present, it will be the final nail in the coffin of the remaster and buy D2R items for sale.
The Diablo 2 Resurrected community discusses the ladders mode of the game.
On Reddit, some players compiled a list of all the issues they were experiencing with the game and declared that "D2R is NOT ready for the first ladder season yet, far from it."It's going to be a disaster."
Players have noted that the game is still experiencing long queues and that it crashes frequently, causing them to lose their position in the queue, among other things. Others felt that the queue system shouldn't have been implemented in the first place and that the issues with the game's code should have been addressed prior to the game's release date.
It was claimed by the original poster that the game's issues are more serious than most people realize, stating that "the entire Game Creation/Joining interface could and should be completely reworked with advanced filters, fast responsiveness, and ease of use, there's no reason not to do this in 2021, and it would have no impact on the gameplay itself."
Diablo 2 Resurrected: Ladders was originally scheduled to be released in the future.
Ironically, the developers were chastised for not having ladders mode ready for the game's initial release, despite the fact that they had promised it. Although many fans are relieved that this was the case following the game's post-launch issues, many others are disappointed.
Known as Diablo 2 Resurrected's "Seasons," Ladders is a game mode that has been heavily promoted throughout the game's marketing campaign. The fact that it is a new feature for Diablo 2 Resurrected means that it was not included in the original Diablo 2 or its expansion, The Lord of Destruction.
